Listing Description:
This gable-front bungalow was constructed circa 1928. The original owner was W. Austin Oates, who owned the property until the early 1930s. It later became the property of Chester Neeld.

The house has a gable asphalt shingle roof, rockfaced concrete foundation, an interior brick chimney, and an exterior of vinyl siding. On the main (south) elevation is a partial-width, gable-roof porch with tapered brick columns and a solid brick railing. The porch has been enclosed with vinyl and glass windows. The porch floor extends the width of the facade, creating a patio enclosed with a brick railing. At the rear of the dwelling is a period single-car detached garage.

The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the DePauw Avenue Historic District.
