The Heritage Preservation League of New Albany-Floyd County is a new organization.
The mission of the Heritage Preservation League of New Albany-Floyd County (HPL) is to protect, preserve and restore the historic character and fabric of our community through advocacy, education and action.
Vision Statement: We envision a Floyd County widely recognized for preserving and promoting its distinctive historic structures, landscapes, neighborhoods, communities and archaeological sites guided by the expert stewardship of the Heritage Preservation League of New Albany-Floyd County.
The group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. The next meeting is scheduled for March 2, in the Strausswig Auditorium at the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library (180 West Spring Street, New Albany). All are welcome.

May is National Preservation Month
The Heritage Preservation League of New Albany-Floyd County, New Albany Historic Preservation Commission, Indiana Landmarks, and many other organizations are partnering to offer an array of workshops, tours and special events to celebrate Preservation Month during May 2010. May 3/ Kick-off / “Historic Architecture is Green Architecture”
