This shotgun style cottage was once a service building to the neighboring, “big” house at 521 East Market Street. The structures were finished in 1907 and purchased for $2,000 by the Anthony E. Kremer family. Previously, there had been a c. 1855 structure, home to the Daniel White family, occupying the lot. That house was dismantled and the new home, along with the accessory building, were constructed.
